A biblical swarm in small gods
had formed ㅤ/an apple-drop spilling over June
has soiled July’s garden
–pungent-sweetㅤspotted brown
fermenting. The tree does not sulk for
the too-many blossoms wornㅤin Spring
not give thought to midsummer song
that hovers in buzz of wasps, hornets
and assorted beesㅤ/nor call for decorum
from those wrecks stumbling nectar-drunk.
